What is Rotator Cuff Repair surgery?

  • Sometimes as a result of Injury or Arthritis, the muscles around the shoulder joint (Rotator Cuff) are damaged which leads to pain and loss of movements of the shoulder joint. Rotator Cuff Repair surgery is a procedure where in the damaged rotator cuff muscles are repaired using special instruments with/without implants either arthroscopically (key-hole surgery) or with mini-open incisions. This is done to relieve pain and restore function of the shoulder joint.
